Hi Amber! So I have been looking forever for a dairy, soy and grain free protein powder, and thought I found one when I saw your recipes (Vitol), but did you know that it uses a polysaccharide? So it basically just has starch in it. Do you happen to know of any other protein powders that are dairy, soy and grain free – basically egg only? It’s been really hard to find one!
Thanks!
Hi Monica! I actually stopped using Vitol because of the bee pollen, I think it was making my allergies flare up and I also wasn’t staying full from it. Thanks for the information though, I wasn’t aware of that! I am now using a vegetable protein from Plant Fusion. It is allergen free and uses 4 different types of veggies and it isn’t too expensive. I get the chocolate version because it is the best tasting out of the bunch. I am still yet to find a good egg protein that doesn’t have extra junk in it. They all seem to be filled with junk and contain soy lecithin in them. If you happen to find a great alternative, let me know, I am always looking! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi! I just want to firstly tell you that you’re an inspiration to me!
So pretty much my situation is i had been eat cleaning for months. to me that meant a meal plan like oats, egg whites, cinnamon, chia seeds for breakfast and lean chicken turkey, sweet potatoes, coconut oil and lots of veggies for other meals. I was very clean and was strict on sodium and macros. i worked out almost every morning and i was lean and toned. i followed lots of your recipes and ideas too!:) but then i went on a three week vacation. i binged everyday. i would stuff myself full of ben and Jerry’s, ritz crackers, peanut m&ms, animal crackers, sushi, chocolate and other junk. i never enjoyed any of it though,i would punish myself by eating. i am depriving myself of veggies, water and wearing makeup because i hate myself now. i am not sure why either. anyway now i crave all that junk. i used to never crave that crap:( i am so frustrated i dont have the small, cute, toned body i used to! i put on 10 lbs!! 10 real lbs, its not water weight cuz its been a while. i am chunky, cellulitely, and self conscious. i have a small frame so 10 lbs looks bad. i am kinda lost in what to do. somedays i just cry myself to sleep because i am so repulsed by the way i look. i want to get out of this rut! i want to be small and lean again, i just feel like i have no self control because i seriously eat so much(emotional though).i cant feel full or hunger so its hard to know when to stop. i feel the desire to eat and i feel cranky when its been over 4 hours.. Anyway, what do you suggest? what are your thoughts? would a strict meal plan help? maybe with a few treats then cut down throughout the week? i am so desperate for help! Well, thank you!
XOXO,
Lisa
Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to write me! I’m so sorry for the late response as life has been so crazy for me the last couple months. Sounds like you were on the right track before and you know the kinds of foods that you should be eating, so way to go there! Don’t rush yourself, take your time and make a plan. If you go to strict all at once, you will feel deprived and crave those naughty foods which could end result in more binge eating. I would suggest that you start with trying to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day, make your meals creative and just get in the habit of eating protein, clean carbs and veggies at each meal. Gradually as you get back in the habit of eating healthy, you will start to feel better and wont crave those foods anymore. Also try to get in the habit of eating more fruit when you feel like you need a treat! Find a couple fruits that you really love, maybe add some nuts or put it on top of greek yogurt (if you can tolerate dairy). Also maybe try to make some of my protein desserts, those always make me feel like I am having a naughty treat and keep me away from the junk! Lastly, schedule a really good cheat meal on the weekends, something you really enjoy! Then strive all week to eat clean and then when the weekend comes you will REALLY enjoy that meal and it will be worth the wait! My favorite cheat meal in a huge plate of chicken nachos or a burger and fries from Bareburger. I really look forward to having those on Sundays and I don’t feel guilty about it because I ate well the rest of the week. I hope some of this is helpful to you and again sorry for the late response. Please keep me updated on how you are doing! Also if you need extra support please feel free to email me at exsoycise@gmail.com or write to me on my facebook page wall facebook.com/exsoycise. Hang in there girly, this is just a minor detour!
